QUERIES Q.
Why does VDT operation cause eye strain ? A.
1. As VDT operation involves looking at a light emitting source similar to the
sun for a prolonged period of time, visible high luminance rays stimulate the
eyes.
2. Reflections from external light sources makes the screen hard to see.
It thus becomes necessary for the operator to make excessive use of eye muscles. Q.
Are low priced filters effective ? A.
Colored / tinted filters will somewhat reduce flickering. But filters without
anti-reflection properties may
actually increase reflections, making the screen even more difficult to see. Q.
Will using a filter darken the Screen ? A.
TECHNO SCREEN™s reduce by half, the visible high luminance rays and enhance
contrast for sharper, and easier to see images. Q.
How about mesh type filters with less reflections ? A.
It is true that such filters can reduce reflections. But high definition images
may blur reducing visibility because the use of mesh type filter is similar to
placing a screen over the image. A.
Its true that mesh type filters are more affordable. But they are likely to
generate mesh clogging or tearing after using them for a half year to one year.
This makes replacement necessary, eventually resulting in increased costs. Q.
Are plastic / glass filters likely
to cause annoying reflections ? A.
Yes, to prevent this, TECHNO SCREEN™ employs an anti-reflection coating which
effectively eliminates
reflections without blurring images. Q.
How long can you use TECHNO SCREEN™ ? A.
TECHNO SCREEN™ can be used permanently. Q.
Can you explain how to care for a TECHNO SCREEN™ ? A.
Clean the filter using the cloth provided. Q.
Can I use wet tissue to clean the TECHNO SCREEN™ ? A.
No this is not recommended as it will dampen the filter surface and dirt will
remain no matter how many times you wipe it. Q.
To what should the ground wire be connected ? A.
Connect the ground wire to any metal part of the CPU or any metallic object
around the CPU (like filing cabinet). Q.
Isn't an X-ray block needed ? A.
As X-rays from CRT's are kept below the natural radiation level, a block is not
necessary. Q.
How does the anti electromagnetic wave property of TECHNO SCREEN™ work ? A.
These filter employ a transparent metallic coating to absorb the electromagnetic
waves. Q.
Some recently launched CRT's are provided with an anti-reflection properties. If
that is the case is it still necessary to use a filter ? A.
Yes, a filter is still needed to reduce visible high luminance rays and
electromagnetic waves from CRTs, to prevent static electricity build up and to
enhance contrast. Q. What is Static Electricity? A.
Static
Electricity is produced as a result of electrons being emitted from the electron
beam. It is an electrical charge, consisting of stationary ions that do not move
in a current. Q.
What is
electromagnetic radiation? A.
The coupled electric and magnetic fields that are generated by time-varying
currents and accelerated charges. Effect
on human- Exposed to it over a long period would inflicted injury on human cell
and may affect chromosome mutation, miscarriage, but without external, visible
symptoms nor scare. With
screen glass filter- When properly earth, conductive chromed film would reduce
electromagnetic radiation by 99%. Techno Screen | More About Techno Screens | Know More About Radiation Global Eye Problems | FAQ On Techno Screen | Techno Screen Models
